People often avoid or delay having kids in order to “experience” life. Yet here I am, 33 and 3 kids in, wrapping up one last newborn in the hospital. (Measures have been taken and I shall have no more children.) I cannot imagine a more interesting, a more frightening, or a more rewarding experience in life. And all of those emotions hit you before the child even breaths free air.
It’s a helluva a commitment, no doubt. But it sure feels like the right commitment to make. Whether you consider it on a spiritual level or an evolutionary level, it just feels right.
